Wendy Doodles Daily For Nature fundraiser.

Thank you so much to everyone who has  helped raise over £1000 this past year, for my five charities.

However, there's still time if you feel you missed out on making a donation (and receiving a doodle as a thank you!)
I thought it would be lovely to finish with a live doodles fundraiser stall at the lovely Hug Green Arts Festival in Leek on June 22nd. But, if you can't come to the Festival, you can still donate by clicking on the JustGiving charity page links below, and don't forget to get in touch if you'd like a doodle as a thank you for your donation.

Thank you again!

To mark my 50th birthday I wanted to do something a bit different! Having enjoyed nature for 50 years, I thought I’d try to raise money for some of my favourite wildlife charities.

Since I’m never going to walk, run, cycle or swim far enough to raise much money, I decided instead to create and share one doodle, drawing, painting, print or photo for every day for a year, that reflects and celebrates nature around me in the Peak District and beyond. I’ll be sharing these pictures daily via Instagram, facebook and my wendy doodles daily gallery

It was difficult to choose which charities to support as there are so many wonderful nature charities out there, but in the end I selected five - one for each decade of my life.  Below are links to my JustGiving fundraising pages for each charity, as well as links to find out more about the charities themselves.

I'd like to offer a doodle to anyone who makes a donation, as a way of saying thank you. Let me know when you've made a donation, if there is a doodle you would like (please note, there is usually only one of each doodle, so some may no longer be available). Most of the doodles are approx. 10cm square images, and I can frame them for a small cost.

buglife

This charity is dedicated to saving our littlest creatures, who are so essential to the survival of all nature!  I was delighted to find that our home is on a Buglife ‘B-line’ - one of many wildflower rich ‘insect pathways’ being restored or created to make a network throughout the UK. Find out more about Buglife

SWT

Our lovely little part of the Peak District is in Staffordshire, and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust do amazing work looking after local wild spaces, from spectacular orchid filled grasslands to the rugged peat moorlands.  Supporting them will help to look after biodiversity and help nature recover in our local area.  Find out more about SWT

Plantlife

Plantlife are dedicated to conserving wild plants and fungi, and produce amazing free resources for anyone looking to learn about or improve the biodiversity of green spaces. This has been helpful for us in our garden, and for our local verge project with Moorlands Climate Action Nature Group. Find out more about Plantlife

rspb

The RSPB work in the UK and abroad, protecting natural habitats for birds and all of nature, and trying to end the nature and climate emergency. Seeing and hearing birds in our garden and in the surrounding countryside brings me happiness every day, and I can't imagine a world without them, but many are in decline, so I want to help them as much as possible! woodland trust

Growing up near Epping Forest, I enjoyed exploring woodlands from an early age, and now love the wooded valleys of the Peak District - havens for so much wildlife.  The Woodland Trust protects and restores woodlands, and supports communities to plant guaranteed UK grown, disease free trees – essential when so many trees are struggling to survive.
